SteerAI: A Hybrid Digital Platform for Autonomous Fleet Management
Objective
SteerAI transforms standard industrial and defence vehicles into autonomous powerhouses. Their flagship solution, CoreConnect, is a universal fleet management system built on a singular promise: “One fleet management system. Every autonomous vehicle. Any mission.” SteerAI needed a web presence that didn’t just look like a manufacturer’s brochure; it needed to feel like a high-tech software interface.
Challenge
The Complexity of “One System”: The site had to communicate that CoreConnect is hardware-agnostic (working with any vehicle). The challenge was to visualise this universality without creating a generic or cluttered interface. High-fidelity animations and slick UI to impress stakeholders.
Solution
The Frontend (Custom HTML5): We built the user-facing interface using bespoke HTML/CSS. This allowed us to code complex, lightweight animations for the CoreConnect visualisation that standard CMS themes simply couldn’t handle. The result is a glitch-free, app-like experience that loads instantly.
We powered the content management with a Drupal backend. Drupal provides enterprise-grade security and granular permission controls. This ensures that SteerAI’s internal team can manage sensitive technical data and press releases securely, meeting the compliance standards of their government and defence partners.

- Brand Authority: The site successfully positions SteerAI not just as a hardware retrofitter, but as a premier software provider. The CoreConnect section clearly articulates the value of a unified management system.
- Security Compliance: The Drupal backend provided the necessary assurance to secure conversations with high-level defence clients.

Conclusion
The SteerAI project highlights GTECH’s ability to navigate the complex intersection of Deep Tech and Design. By utilising a hybrid HTML/Drupal approach, we provided SteerAI with a platform that is as visually advanced as their autonomous fleets and as secure as the missions they undertake.
