Afresco, a premier provider of sustainable energy solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa, required a total digital overhaul to match its growing influence. With a mission to simplify energy for large-scale industries ranging from aviation to pharmaceuticals, Afresco needed a website that reflected its stature as a reliable, institutional-grade energy partner. The goal for GTECH was to redesign and develop a full-scale digital platform (https://afresco.com/) that clearly communicates their “Zero Upfront Investment” model and highlights their massive regional projects.

Challenge

  • Complex Value Proposition: Afresco’s pay-as-you-go solar and storage model involves complex financial and technical logistics. The new site had to simplify these concepts for C-suite decision-makers without losing technical credibility.
  • Geographic & Industrial Diversity: The platform needed to showcase projects across multiple countries (Uganda, Kenya) and sectors (Hima Cement, Rene Industries, Bar Aviation) while maintaining a cohesive brand narrative.
  • Content Vacuum: The previous digital presence lacked a unified voice. GTECH was tasked with full English content creation, requiring us to translate technical engineering milestones into compelling “Business Growth” stories.

Instead, GTECH’s design team utilised high-resolution, wide-angle photography of Afresco’s actual installations (like the 2.2 MWh Hima Cement project). This “Industrial-Tech” aesthetic establishes immediate trust and proves real-world capability.
  • Clean, Modern Navigation: We engineered a “User-Centric Architecture” that separates the journey for different stakeholders, Investors, Partners, and Clients, ensuring that information on “Our Benefits” and “Our Markets” is accessible in two clicks or less.

2. Full-Suite Content Creation

  • Voice of Authority: GTECH’s content team developed a professional, authoritative, and mission-driven English copy deck for the entire site. We moved the focus from “Solar Panels” to “Energy Security” and “Operational Excellence,” aligning with the priorities of African business leaders.
  • Project Spotlight Modules: We created a standardised “Project Story” template that balances technical specs (Kilowatts/Megawatt-hours) with human impact (e.g., “powering life-saving medicine production”).

3. High-Performance Development

  • Interactive Impact Map: GTECH developed a custom-coded map interface to showcase Afresco’s pan-African footprint. This allows visitors to interactively explore project locations and their specific energy outputs.
  • Responsive Performance: Given the diverse infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa, GTECH optimised the site for lightning-fast loading on mobile devices and low-bandwidth networks, ensuring the “Go Green” message is never delayed.
