The AJBAN Defense Industry & Technology Exhibition is a strategic, invitation-only event dedicated to strengthening the UAE’s defense industrial base. Taking place in September 2026 at ADNEC, its mission is to connect major defense manufacturers with local suppliers to boost In-Country Value (ICV) and reduce reliance on foreign imports. The organisers required a secure, authoritative digital platform that could handle the nuances of a “closed-door” event while efficiently managing thousands of B2B matchmaking requests between high-profile stakeholders.
Challenge
- Exclusivity & Security: Unlike public trade shows, AJBAN is strictly invitation-only. The website needed a robust gatekeeping mechanism to vet visitors and exhibitors (including government officials and military delegates) without creating friction for legitimate VIPs.
- Complex Matchmaking: The core value of the event lies in its “One-to-One Meetings.” The site had to facilitate or seamlessly integrate with a system that schedules thousands of private meetings between buyers and suppliers, ensuring no conflicts in the agenda.
- Data Sensitivity: Serving the defense sector meant the platform had to adhere to higher standards of data privacy and perceived security, instilling confidence in users submitting sensitive corporate information.

- Seamless Handshake: We created a dedicated “Matchmaking” portal entry point on the site. While the complex scheduling logic often sits on a specialised sub-platform, the WP site serves as the unified dashboard where users manage their profiles, view “Ajban Talks” schedules, and access their meeting agendas.
- Dynamic Agenda Management: The site features a flexible schedule module for the “Ajban Talks” conference sessions. Utilising custom post types, the content team can rapidly update speaker slots and topics as geopolitical contexts shift, leading up to 2026.
